Information to assist you. We want your building to be a useful addition to your garden and believe these few points will ensure that it is an asset for many years to come. We ask you to bear in mind that timber is a natural product that needs care and maintenance and is subject to naturally occurring changes according to temperatures which can result in some movement. |
Options. A full range of options are available fitted to any of our buildings. These include double doors, verandahs, heavy-duty floor, special size doors, stable doors, extra height, heavy-duty framing, Western Red Cedar cladding, Deluxe cladding, extra windows, toughened glass, opening windows, red roofing felt, red or green felt tiles and Cedar timber roof. |
General Care.To maintain the quality and appearance of your building we recommend that you regularly oil the ironmongery e.g. door and window hinges and to retreat your building annually. The original colour treatment, Regency Gold and on play buildings Regency Red can be obtained from your local stcckist. If your building is installed in damp conditions please ensure you leave adequate ventilation until the building is dry. | ||
| Site Access. The delivery team will need a clear route to the delivery area. Please inform us of any restrictions/obstacles/bends that will prevent access of the timber sections. |  |

Siting. To ensure the longevity of your building we do not recommend that trees or shrubs overhang the building. This also makes for ease of access for installation and maintenance work e.g. retreating with good quality wood preservative. |

Construction. Please note:- Due to the nature of Cedar, variations in colour shading will be experienced from time to time. When choosing the exterior timber for your building we would ask you to bear in mind that all Western Red Cedar Buildings are constructed with softwood interior framing, roofs and floors. All buildings in our range are totally treated with a base coat. Roof sections are additionally protected with Green Felt on Deal and Deluxe buildings with Red felt on Cedar buildings. Any building larger than 10’ (3050mm) on any site will be manufactured in more than one piece. |

Base. It is essential that the base area be correctly prepared for your building. This needs to be firm, level and square to ensure the stability of your building. Timber bearers, paving slabs or a concrete pad are all suitable mediums. |
